As a stay at home mom who doesn't leave her daughter in front of the boob tube all day long, I don't get to watch a lot of television so I end up DVRing a lot of shows and watching them when my daughter is asleep.
This weekend I had displeasure of watching the Real Housewives of D.C. The show is a major snoozefest. The women are all boring, have no substance and nothing to offer in terms of excitement or entertainment. I wanted to really like Stacie but she's such a Black women reality show cliche. She doesn't have to roll her eyes and snap her fingers to feed into the stereotypes that seem to follow Black women on reality television shows (hello loud mouth Nene Leakes!). I couldn't believe she was offended because Cat expressed her dislike for Tyra Banks. Tyra Banks is annoying and Cat isn't the first white or Black woman to feel that way. Differences in opinion aren't always about race.
I can't believe shows like this are on televsion but the original Law & Order franchise was cancelled. I'll take Jack McCoy over this annoying wenches any day of the week!
